25 weeks. 6 months. The size of a melon. I cannot believe I am already this far along. With Dylan, I documented each week with a bump photo and growth update. This time around, well I have really done nothing. I mean, how are you suppose to keep up with a kid, work, run a household, and take care of a new horse, while documenting all of these things?! I can only have 1 cup of coffee a day people, and 0 tequila!
I was at about 18 weeks when Robby asked Dylan if he knew how big the baby was, and for me to show him on the app. To his surprise, I didn’t have any baby apps, I had to quickly download it and show Dylan how big his growing sister was. Luckily, Dylan is so excited about his sister, he asks to check the app almost every day, which keeps me much more up to date on P.
My original plan was to document each month (each week at this point just sounds excessive). Talk about what was happening, how she was growing and moving, and take a photo. Yea, that never happened. But hey, I’m here now to make sure that this little one has something to look back on.
The good news – I am no longer sick! YAY! I am literally screaming this from the rooftop, because I had been nauseous since day 1. I didn’t always throw up, but it was just that constant uneasy feeling. Pretty much like being hung over, but without the fun memories of the night before. That feeling of yuck finally went away by week 21.
We are now doing great! I am much more active this time around. I guess I have to be (you know, all those regular life responsibilities). Keeping up with a 4 year old while being pregnant is exhausting. What was God thinking when he made too much caffeine bad for unborn children?! How are us pregnant mamas suppose to survive?! On top of chasing around a 4 year old, I am now also chasing around a 1 1/2 year old horse we just got. I absolutely love this horse, and he is definitely keeping me active and allowing me to work off those chocolate cravings.
This pregnancy is COMPLETELY different than with Dylan. I feel great, but have some serious back pain. Any other mamas out there? I have a great back brace that helps, but definitely could use a little more relief. Would love to hear your tips and tricks. Totally wouldn’t be mad if it was a massage every week – I think that sounds reasonable. I mean, come on Rob, I am growing our daughter 😂.
I do feel much more relaxed this time around. All I have really done to get ready is order super cute girl clothes from small shops online. Oh, and I bought a stroller with a bench attachment. Yup, that’s it. With Dylan, by this time I had so much more, and was pretty much done with his nursery. We haven’t even started baby P’s yet! I think this last week really gave me the “Oh Shit” feeling, like, hey mama, you better get to doing something because I’m coming, kinda feeling.
How was your pregnancy the 2nd time around?
