**Thank you Gaylord Palms Resort for hosting us this weekend. Please note that all opinions and experiences are my own.

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably followed along with our family’s weekend staycation at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. With everything going on in Florida, I was a little nervous about how this was going to work, but was so excited to relax somewhere that wasn’t home. Let’s be real, we all needed a change of scenery.
When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and organized everything was, and how safe and comfortable I felt. Our rooms had antibacterial wipes in them along with hand sanitizer. All staff, and the majority of guests that we saw were wearing masks. There are always going to be a few rule breakers, but I was really impressed with the staff and their responses to those who were not following the rules.
We had been to Gaylord Palms Resort a handful of times over the years for various events, but staying there, I really got to see what a beautiful property it is. There are so many great details throughout the hotel. The balcony of our room went out to the atrium, which was absolutely beautiful. Each night of our stay there was a live band playing, and a light show. The kids loved the music and lights shining in the room. And my pregnant self loved being able to keep the doors open without worry of bugs flying in, and sitting on an air-conditioned balcony.
Our favorite part of the hotel was without a doubt, the pool area. Sometimes it can be hard to find a pool and play area that works for kids of all ages, but Gaylord Palms NAILED IT! You can reserve seating around the pool, and chairs are separated to promote social distancing. The pool is a zero entry, with little fountains around and Paisley couldn’t get enough. The playground area was perfect to go in with little ones, while keeping an eye on the older kids. Dylan loved the slides, and all of the bucket waterfall features.
Oh, did I mention the Flow Rider? Dylan got on it, and he LOVED it! This is the kid who struggles to try new things because he is always so cautious. Once he said he wanted to do it, Robby jumped on the chance to show off his skills too (he was a little sore the next day).

There are some great restaurants throughout the property, with fun features, but we opted not to eat inside the restaurants. We ordered our food either by the pool, or picked it up and brought it back to our room. I mean, with a 6 and 1 year old, it was way more convenient for us that way. The food is really good though! They have everything from pool side snacks and finger foods to fine dining.
If you are looking for a fun getaway with the whole family, a romantic night out. or a fun girls weekend, Gaylord Palms Resort has everything you need at the property without having to leave. For more information visit their website here.
