This week we wanted to bring you a cocktail for the crowds. Not all of us are Susie Homemakers but we’re still asked to bring a side dish or something to share with everyone to our holiday parties. Yikes. So let us help our fellow friends who can mess up “Easy Mac” (is that even a thing anymore) and share this recipe that will make your friends and family very thankful you didn’t try to be the Pinterest Mom we know we aren’t.

What you’ll need:
- 2 bottles of red wine
- brandy
- orange juice
- apple cider
- 2 apples
- orange
- cinnamon sticks
- cinnamon sugar
- Optional: cinnamon schnapps
- Optional: club soda and Sprite

I think it’s important to let this chill for as long as possible. If you can, up to 24 hours, if not – I’d say at least 2-3 hours ahead of time.
It’s totally optional, but I think adding 1/2 cup of cinnamon schnapps will give this cocktail a more “Christmasy” feel. Also, you could add in a little fizz right before serving. 1:1 of club soda and Sprite is the perfect amount (thanks to my cousin for that pro-tip).
In a large pitcher combine:
- 2 bottles of red wine (whatever your favorite may be)
- 1 1/2 cups of brandy
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 4 cups of apple cider
- 2 honeycrisp apples cut up
- 1 orange sliced
- 5 cinnamon sticks
Rim:
Add equal parts cinnamon and sugar or use McCormick Cinnamon Sugar on a plate or bowl. Rim your cup with water or the leftover orange and dip into the cinnamon and sugar blend.
Add sangria into glasses and serve. Boom. You’re the talk of the party. Way to go, girl. You worked real hard at your “side dish”.
