Spring is here, but in Florida, it is feeling more like summer. I am definitely not complaining, I love the warm weather, pool days, and of course, summer cocktails! One of my favorite warm weather snacks is watermelon! Its just so yummy who doesn’t love it?! Anytime we go somewhere that has watermelon cocktails, I am all over it. Another favorite of mine is Sangria, so why not just put the two together. This time around I am making my own, Watermelon Sangria. A super refreshing, fun drink to put together for a girls by the pool kinda day.
What you will need:
- 1 bottle of white wine (I’m using Sauvignon Blanc)
- 4 cups of watermelon
- 1/2 cup of triple sec
- 1 Lime (1/2 for juice 1/2 for garnish)
- Ice
- Mint leaves (for garnish)
Add all items together in a pitcher, stir, and there you have it, refreshing Watermelon Sangria!
One trick I like to do is freeze half of the watermelon. This helps the sangria stay cooler longer without watering it down.
What are your favorite spring cocktails?
