Absolutely Mental

Looking back, I can honestly say I’ve been dealing with anxiety from a pretty young age.  I remember the gut wrenching feeling of having to make a phone call, having to go to school, or whatever was putting me out of my comfort zone at the time.  Back then, no one really knew what anxiety was and no one would have believed a child that age could have had it. By 15 I truly experienced depression.  I was so caught up in watching my family fall apart, I lost myself along wi[...]

Cucumber Mint Refresher

Happy Saturday! Man, it has been a crazy few weeks, and seems like forever since we have put out a cocktail. We are getting back on schedule now, but with the holidays, and podcast launch, our hands have full! *Don't forget about the 6 kids between us that always seem to need us too lol. This weeks recipe was sponsored by ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. They have a great selection of wine, beer, liquors, and pre-mixed drinks. Everyone there was so helpful and knowledgable about all the product[...]

Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort

*This stay was hosted, but all views and opinions are completely my own. I've been going to Cocoa Beach for the majority of my life. Growing up in Central Florida, you can get there in just over an hour. I went (and still go) to the beach any chance I get, all year long! Cocoa Beach is a staple memory in my late teens - early twenties, and the Westgate Cocoa Beach pier is at the heart of it. As a mom, I love that my kids get to make the same memories I did as a kid, with so many more aw[...]

The Perfect Sangria

This week we wanted to bring you a cocktail for the crowds. Not all of us are Susie Homemakers but we're still asked to bring a side dish or something to share with everyone to our holiday parties. Yikes. So let us help our fellow friends who can mess up "Easy Mac" (is that even a thing anymore) and share this recipe that will make your friends and family very thankful you didn't try to be the Pinterest Mom we know we aren't. What you'll need: 2 bottles of red winebrandyorange ju[...]

Peanut Butter Delight

Peanut butter Whiskey - have you heard of it? It's new, from Skrewball, and I had it recently while out and loved it! It's a fun twist on whiskey, and perfect for sipping on cold (or slightly cooler, if you live in Florida) nights. What I want you to know about this drink, is I don't even like eggnog, and neither did the two other girls who drank them. It's definitely sweet, so would make for a fun dessert cocktail! What you'll need: Skrewball (Peanut butter whiskey)Egg nog Peanut B[...]

Holiday Drinking Game

Who are we kidding? We're going to lose our shit, a lot, probably more than we'd like to admit. So, it's Tuesday, and yesterday we posted on how not to lose your shit. Obviously we were totally kidding, because we've lost it about 17 times already. So we decided to make this into a drinking game..... Here you go! Every time someone gives you unsolicited advice pour a glass of wine.Every time someone starts a sentence with "When I was younger..." take a sip of your (alcoholic) beve[...]

How Not to Lose Your Shit This Holiday Season

With all the gift guides no ones reading, all the Pinterest moms sharing their table settings, all of the advice you didn't ask for, topped off with holiday cheer - lets get real! We are breaking it down on how NOT to lose your shit. I mean, the kids are home from school all week and I'm suppose to be cooking a family dinner (when I order out 5/7 nights a week) Fill that water bottle with Tequila. Set the clocks back 1-2 hours so your kids think its later than it is. It gets early at 5 -[...]

Sparkling Apple Pie

This recipe is just in time for Thanksgiving! I don't think we could have created a more festive cocktail for this time of year. To be completely honest, I was skeptical on this cocktail at first. I'm not a huge apple cider person, but Hannah had this recipe ready, and I had planned nothing, sooo.. Apple Pie it was. I was so surprised at how much I liked it. I think the honey and cinnamon sugar rim is 100% necessary on this one! It really makes the drink, and gives it a little something extra.[...]

Mommy & Me Mocktail Making at Tony Roma’s

*This event was hosted by my local Tony Roma's, however all opinions are my own. I recently attended Tony Roma's on International Drive in Orlando to test out their new Mocktail menu with Dylan. I loved this idea! Their mocktails are geared towards the littles to be colorful, fun, delicious, and match the 21+ crowd. I love twinning with my kids, so when Dylan shared his favorite drink, I had to get one to match. SPIKED BEACH BOTTOM PUNCH 3/4 oz. RumHaven Coconut Water Rum1/2 oz.[...]

Pomegranate Prosecco Cocktail

Oh hello super festive and delicious cocktail. This concoction is as delicious as it is pretty! It actually wasn't our intention to create such a Christmas-y cocktail, but as I'm sure you've realized, we aren't the best planners, and the fruit we wanted to use wasn't in season. But hey, I'm not mad about it, this was a total win! Our goal of these cocktails is to make sure they are easy to make, but add just a little #extra to your party or regular Thursday. What you'll need: Prosecc[...]

Pumpkin Spiked Iced Coffee

Happy November! I've been seeing so many Christmas decorations, but I'm not ready to give up my pumpkin just yet. Today we have the perfect Pumpkin Spiked Iced Coffee for you! This came out so good - and I will definitely be making this for weeks to come. I really think its the perfect morning cocktail while getting ready for Thanksgiving - a little coffee, a little alcohol, it makes for a much less stressful day of cooking (and eating). What You'll Need: Bailey's Pumpkin Spice Vani[...]

Did we just become best friends?!

You know that girl in high school that you’ve never actually met but don’t like? You have the same mutual friends, but for some reason (actually, there’s no reason), you aren’t friends. Girls are taught at a young age to compete instead of collaborate. We are taught to put down instead of support. We are taught that there is only 1 spot, when in reality, there is room for everyone to be successful. Well, that was us. Hannah and I weren’t friends. We didn’t like each other, but n[...]
