Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort
*This stay was hosted, but all views and opinions are completely my own.

I’ve been going to Cocoa Beach for the majority of my life. Growing up in Central Florida, you can get there in just over an hour. I went (and still go) to the beach any chance I get, all year long! Cocoa Beach is a staple memory in my late teens – early twenties, and the Westgate Cocoa Beach pier is at the heart of it. As a mom, I love that my kids get to make the same memories I did as a kid, with so many more awesome activities happening throughout the year.
Florida winters are probably my favorite time to spend at the beach. It’s less crowded, it’s not 100 degrees, your feet don’t burn on the sand, and there’s usually a cool breeze (even if it’s in the 80’s).
This past weekend Hannah and I took a little work trip to get some podcasting done, kid free. We stayed at Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort and had the best time! The first night was just Hannah and I, and it worked out perfectly. The rooms are 2 bedroom suites so they have full kitchens and a living room! We had plenty of room to spread out and get some recording done before the kids came and completely took over the space.
After a full night of recording (we were up until 3 am, who do we think we are?!) my kids and some family members joined us at the beach for Sky Diving Santas. Yea, you read that right. This is our FAVORITE Christmas tradition. We have been going for a few years now, and it is something that Dylan asks for. We love hanging out on the beach and seeing the Santas soar out of the sky. We always try to get a spot next to the big inflatables that the Santas try to land on. We love cheering them on when they make it!
Even though the resort is about a mile down the road from the pier, they have a shuttle that runs all day long to take you and pick you up.
We do love our beach time, but these Florida kids are all about the splash pads and pools. Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort has a lazy river, splash pad, pool, baby pool, and hot tubs. They also have tubes, life jackets, and a tiki bar (cheers) for convenience. The kids had a blast. They loved going from the different water activities and keeping this mama on her toes! They are all connected so it is easy to go from one place to the other. It was a little too chilly for me to get in the water, but I loved how much seating they had. There were chairs and beach loungers everywhere, in every area. They even had fire fits and relaxation areas to enjoy at night.
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts along Cocoa Beach, but this one is by far my favorite! From the room, to the entertainment areas for the kids and adults, it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. The kids are already asking when we can go back, and I’m thinking it’s going to be soon! There are some fun things to do in Cocoa Beach that we haven’t done yet, so that definitely gives us an excuse to get back over there ASAP.
