Last weekend we took our first family vacation with all six of us to Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa and it was everything this family needed. Between work, school, baseball, football, toddler life… we don’t have much down time. It seems like our season of life right now is go, go, go. So, we took some time to just relax, find some snow, and be with each other.
When we arrived on Friday, we were greeted with the most friendly staff that went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be. Through text messages in the morning, and calls throughout the day, they made us feel like our time there was their top priority. Because we had driven 10 hours, through the night, Friday was our relax day. We made it out to lunch at one of their offsite restaurants that they provide a shuttle to and headed back to our room to relax, but only after stopping by the store at the entrance of the resort to pick up mommy’s champagne. 🙂

Saturday was our day at the resort and honestly, we never needed to leave. Westgate Smoky Mountain has got to be the best family resort in Tennessee because it’s fun for all ages. They have an indoor water park with things to do for all age ranges. A toddler area, a lazy river, pools with basketball hoops, and huge slides for the big kids AKA my husband. Before hitting the water park mama had some “me time” at the spa. It was by far one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. When I got there, they brought me back to a dimly lit room and showed me to my locker. They provide the softest robes and sandals and if you know me, you know hotel robes are my thing. They also have a sauna room for you to hang in post massage/facial. Let me just tell you, this was by far my favorite part of the trip!
Nate would have spent the entire vacation at the mini putt putt and the boys would have lived at the water park. I, however, would have never left the giant jetted tub conveniently located IN MY ROOM. When I say this place is my dream come true, I mean it. These rooms were perfect for our large family. I didn’t feel like we were on top of each other all of the time. Everyone had their own space and it felt more like a home than a hotel.
It was absolutely crazy to see all of the devastation this town has seen. Seeing how they have been able to rebuild after the fires, and still have the most beautiful scenery was amazing.
You can check out their latest Gatlinburg hotel deals and promotions here! I can’t tell you how perfect this is for any family, couple retreat, or solo trip.
